Welcome to St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Summerton, South Carolina. Our purpose as a church is to respond to the Great Commission by presenting Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit that all may come to know him as Savior and follow him as Lord in the fellowship of his Church.. Our regular Sunday service of Holy Communion, according to the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, is held every week at 10:30 a.m. We hope you will take a few moments to explore our website and to learn a little more about who we are as a parish. Whether you live in the Summerton area and are searching for a church home or whether your travels will be taking you through Summerton, we would like to invite you to join us for worship. May the Lord Bless you and keep you. Yours in Christ,
The Very Rev. David W.T. Thurlow Rector
